Welcome new Members- Meeting #45

With the club strength reaching a whooping number of 20, just the double of the past tenure, the meeting was began with great enthusiasm. All the new members were first explained the format of the meeting. President TM Rohan welcomed the new members and made them pledge about being punctual, dedicated and committed to the club and meetings. He then handed over the stage to Toastmaster of the Day, TM Bhumika. She started the sessions by explaining the roles and then invited TM Vatsal for his second speech. He talked about ‘different perspectives of the rain’. Then TM Deepak came up to give his second speech and he spoke on ‘speech about Speeches’. Then TM Bhumika invited the Table Topics Master of the Day TM Erum who conducted the session full with humor and current affairs. All the new members were invited to speak and as for their first speeches, they performed very well. Later, TM Ankit gave his 10th speech on the topic ‘Be responsible- keep your environment clean’. He completed his CC manual with this speech.

Then TM Rohan, the general evaluator of the day took over the stage and invited the evaluators to give their evaluations. The evaluators gave a ‘constructive-feedback’ along with the suggestions to improve the oratory skills. Also, TM Somdev, the mentor of the club gave review about the meeting. He also assured the members that they are welcome to ask any query / take advice from him any point of time they want.

Last but not the least the alloted ballots were used to get the votes and the results were as:

The meeting ended by informing the new members that they will be given a chance to give their ice-breaker speech. Also they were suggested that they can choose their mentors for the same.

Meeting #41

On the eve of International Women’s Day, the 41st meeting of Techno Ariston was conducted. The theme decided was Women. The meeting started when the SAA, TM Shubham starting the meeting. He then invited ToastMaster of the day, TM Vatsal who wished everyone a happy holi and continued with the speeches after giving a brief about the schedule of the meeting. The only speech was given by TM Ankit who after showing glimpses of recent BBC documentary on India’s Daughter, convinced the Audience that the mentality had to be changed.

Next up was the Table Topics round which was conducted by TM Shubham. the topics ranged from first crush to difference in college and school life. The guests were also invited in the Table Topics round and they made sincere efforts to speak without hesitation.

After this, the meeting ended on the good note of meeting next week at the same time, along with a friend of ours who has never attended a Toastmaster’s meeting.

Meeting #44

The sun was shining bright on the head and we all were together again on 10th of April. But then with a different venue in the college premises itself Techno India NJR. Meeting was started with an appeal by SAA TM Shubham to stay connected online frequently and constantly.

Meeting was being forwarded to the Toastmaster of the Day TM Bhumika, who introduced all the role players. The first speech was come up by TM Rohit, who innocently described his CHILDHOOD and drowned all of us with the memories of all the cartoons and and angles stories. Next speaker TM Vatsal brought light on the present poor condition of farmers due to AN UNSEASONED RAIN.

The table topic session was conducted by TM Shubham with some fabulous topics like If you asked to be an object what you want to be, act like your favourite personality and many more.

Also, at the end of the meeting, President TM Rohan informed that 20 new members have joined the club and were ready to be a part from the next meeting.

Meeting #42

With the end of the session, the last meeting for the session was conducted. SAA TM Shubham started the meeting by greeting all the members and invited president TM Rohan to start with the meeting. TM Rohan initiated with praying for the late Lt. Abhinav Nagori and Shaheed Archit Wardia, both the son of Udaipur who laid down their life for India. He then reminded about the unconditional services of the soldiers in the Defence Services. Later he handed over the stage to Toastmaster Deepak, the TM of the day.
The speech session consisted of TM Erum, who gave a speech on ‘Competition in various fields’, the current reality haunting every student’s life.
The the Table Topic session was conducted by TM Bhumika.

The meeting ended with the discussion of continuance of being the member of Toastmaster’s International, to which every member remain committed to.

Toastmasters Meeting #40

On the evening of the thrilling India-Pakistan world cup cricket match, the Toastmasters meeting was held. And what a way to begin the meeting, with the celebration of the unbreakable win of India over Pakistan, which has continued since the last 30 years.
After the president, TM Rohan started the meeting, he handed over the stage to TM Deepak, the toastmaster of the day. Then , the prepared speech session started,with TM Rahul giving his Ice Breakers speech. He shared his preparation and struggle to reach where he was today. He was also selected as the most improved speaker.
Next up was TM Bhumika, who shared her Boxing experiences in her Ice Breakers speech. She was chosen the 2nd best speaker of the day.
The last speech was given by Tm Ankit, who shared the interesting facts about the rivalry between India and Pakistan cricket matches. He was selected as the Best Speaker of the day.
The Table Topics round was conducted by TM Shubham where 4 speakers came and spoke on ‘harms of homework’, ‘what name should be chosen by you’, ‘views on Arvind Kejriwal’s win’. Table topics: st Rohan, 2nd deepak
Then TM Nidarshana thee general evaluator of the day was handed over the stage to, who introduced the team of evaluators. The evaluators then helped the speakers to address over their Strong points and suggested them methods and ways to improve in some areas of speeches.
Then TM Shubham, the Sergeant-at-Arms, invited and applauded the best, 2nd best and improved speaker of the day.
Later, the new members were guided over the importance and need of proper meeting conduct and flow.
